Chair Yoga - for strength, calm and brain health

In this welcoming class, Tracey blends gentle, accessible yoga and Qi Gong to support physical strength, mobility, and mental clarity. Movements can be done seated or using a chair for support, making this practice suitable for all levels and abilities. You’ll explore mindful breathing, simple postures, and flowing sequences that nurture balance in both body and mind. Each session includes elements shown to support brain health—mindful movement, focused breathing, and relaxation—all of which help reduce stress, boost mood, and enhance cognitive vitality. You’ll also receive short, easy home practices (5–10 minutes) to help you integrate movement and mindfulness into your daily routine.

No age or experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to move, breathe, and feel better.

Yin Yoga -for flexibility, easing stress and better sleep

Find softness, nourishment, and deep calm in my Yin Yoga classes. We move slowly into mostly floor-based shapes, holding them for several minutes to allow the body and nervous system to settle. This slower pace helps quiet the stress response, supporting healthy cortisol balance and interrupting the cycle of chronic tension and fatigue that can impact brain health.

You’ll be guided to find comfortable shapes that suit your body, with options offered throughout. By slowing down, breathing steadily, we use the Yin shape to get into the body (not the body to get into the shape - like many yoga styles). There is little muscle engagement in Yin Yoga, with the focus primarily on relaxing into the shape. Students often report better sleep and mental clarity after practicing Yin Yoga.

Suitable for all levels, including those with limited mobility or past injuries. You must be able to get up and down from the floor. A slow, deeply nourishing practice for flexibility, resilience, and a calmer mind.

Functional Qi Gong ***NEW*** - for balance, energy and cognitive resilience

Functional Qi Gong is designed to nourish both body and brain. We blend movements from different traditions, with the emphasis on how the practice feels and functions in your body—not on perfect form. It’s about sensation, coordination, breath, and ease.

Cross-body and cross-coordination movements gently stimulate communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, supporting balance, focus, memory, and cognitive resilience. Slow, rhythmic patterns calm the nervous system, helping to reduce stress and steady the mind. As circulation improves and breath deepens, many people notice clearer thinking, better posture, and a renewed sense of vitality.

We move with intention to encourage the smooth flow of energy, breath, and circulation—supporting Jing (vital essence), Qi (life force), and Shen (spirit). The aim is simple: to help you feel more grounded, more connected, and more alive.

Suitable for all levels. May be practiced on or with a chair, or without, depending on your ability.

Tracey is trained in "variable anatomy"

This means that Tracey fully acknowledges that we are all unique, with different body types, skeletal structures, traumas, biology and biography. Tracey celebrates your uniqueness by offering various expressions of postures and shapes in all her classes. The postures you make with your body should look different to Tracey's and your neighbours - you are unique. It's not how you look, it's what you feel that is important.
